Terms & Conditions.

Please review the terms and conditions governing the use of SHAGenerator services and tools.

1. Acceptance of Terms.

By accessing or utilizing the websites, tools, documentation, or services available at shagenerator.com ("SHAGenerator", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website.

2. Permitted Use & Free Access.

SHAGenerator is provided free of charge for personal, educational, commercial, and enterprise software engineering use. You are authorized to:

  • Generate hashes, HMAC signatures, checksums, and encoding conversions for your software, databases, or documentation.
  • Verify file integrity for downloaded software, disk images, firmware, and archive files.
  • Incorporate generated digests and test vectors into your development and test suites.

3. Prohibited Activities.

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on our CDN infrastructure or web servers.
  • Scrape or mirror the website in a manner that bypasses rate limits or violates robots.txt directives.
  • Use the tools for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable national or international laws.

4. Cryptographic Disclaimer & Warranties.

SHAGenerator is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

While all algorithms are designed and tested to match published NIST (FIPS 180-4, FIPS 202) and IETF standards, cryptographic security depends upon the proper selection of algorithms by the user. Note that legacy algorithms such as MD5 and SHA-1 have known mathematical collision vulnerabilities and must not be used for security-critical digital signatures or certificates.

5. Limitation of Liability.

In no event shall SHAGenerator, its contributors, or maintainers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data, security breaches, or business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the tools.

6. Intellectual Property.

The original user interface design, branding, documentation, and educational content on SHAGenerator are the intellectual property of SHAGenerator. The underlying cryptographic algorithms (such as SHA-256 and MD5) are public mathematical standards.

7. Modifications to Terms.

We reserve the right to revise or update these terms at our discretion. Any modifications will take effect immediately upon posting to this page.
